Our commitment
To Castle Cottage Inn Guests,
After spending over 3 decades as a flight attendant and a pilot with world renowned airlines, we decided to move forward and so acquired this unique 439 year old building “Castle Cottage” here in North Wales in December, 2020. Castle Cottage already had a great reputation and set high standards thanks to its previous owners, Jacqueline and Glyn Roberts.
We aim to provide the personal touch to your stay with service straight from the heart.
Each and every guest is our VIP and we will be delighted to receive you and make your stay a memorable one.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Sincerely,Pattra and Darryl
EXCELLENT Based on 150 reviews Posted on JB29/05/2026 We had a great stay with our 8 year old who loved the plentiful sweets supplied by Pattra who is an amazing host. We also ate there and had some delicious thai food in the Aviation bar which also has a fantastic viewPosted on Roger Sillito26/05/2026 We just had a wonderful stay at Castle Cottage. Food was absolutely excellent and the service was simply first class. It is in a really handy location at the top of the hill. And there were complimentary M&Ms!Posted on Sang Qiao07/05/2026 Our two-night stay at Castle Cottage was easily one of the most memorable parts of our UK trip. This beautiful little hotel is truly a hidden gem in Harlech. The owners are such a lovely and fascinating couple — former pilot and flight attendant — and you can feel their personality and life experience in every detail of the place. The entire hotel is warm, cozy, stylish, and incredibly tasteful without ever feeling overdesigned. Every amenity and little touch feels thoughtfully chosen and carefully prepared. They also run the restaurant and bar themselves inside the hotel, personally cooking and hosting guests with so much warmth and care. The menu combines Thai and British flavors, and honestly, the food was outstanding — easily one of the most memorable meals we’ve had in the UK. Restaurant-quality is an understatement; every dish felt polished, authentic, and full of heart. The location is also perfect — right next to Harlech Castle, with lovely little streets, shops, and restaurants nearby. It’s also a very convenient base for hiking around Snowdonia, within easy driving distance. Parking right outside the hotel made everything effortless. If you’re visiting Wales, don’t only focus on the big tourist towns. Come to Harlech, and stay here. Castle Cottage is the kind of place that makes a trip feel special long after you’ve gone home.Posted on Ann Davies07/05/2026 Outstanding. Great value for what you get - rooms are beautiful and so considerately put together. Food was great. Pattra is the most amazing host. I literally can't fault this place - even the hallway smells nice.Posted on Antonio Dhanecha15/04/2026 We had such a fantastic stay here honestly couldn’t recommend it more. Pattra, who runs the it is absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and showed us our room. The room was spotless and beautifully kept, and you can really tell how much care goes into every detail. The service was amazing the whole way through. Breakfast was also a real highlight for us. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We’ll definitely be coming back.Posted on Nathan Watson11/04/2026 Spotless hotel hosts couldn't do enough for you would definitely recommend best place around by farPosted on Josh Dear06/04/2026 My wife and I stayed at Castle Cottage over Easter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in room 7 which was very spacious. Great partial views out to Harlech Castle and Cardigan bay and all essentials in the room you would need i.e tea, coffee, biscuits as well as ironing board, hairdryer and a very comfy bed! The best part for us was Pattra and her teams food and service in their restaurant as well as the special Aviation bar! We ended up eating in their restaurant every morning + evening of our stay as the team make it so easy for you, the perfect spot to unwind. I imagine during the warmer months the restaurant will be popular so I would advise to book however it's still worth enquiring with Pattra as she will endeavour to try and accommodate you. Overall, fantastic stay and look forward to visiting again. Josh & JordanPosted on Daniel Johnson05/04/2026 Best place in Harlech by far. Great location, wonderful rooms, the food is brilliant (Pad Thai especially!) and lovely owners.Posted on Louisa Jones08/12/2025 Wonderfully relaxing weekend in the Castle Cottage Hotel, Harlech. Pattra was the perfect host; warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The suite (3) was immaculate, comfortable and warm. Big comfortable bed and in adjoining living room sofa, smart TV and stunning views all round. Large bathroom - bath was huge and luxurious, as was the shower. Lovely toiletries, tea and snacks - real attention to detail. Food was delicious and exactly as ordered, service excellent. We look forward to returning.Posted on Sherri McCaul02/12/2025 Our overnight visit in late September was amazing! Pattra was delightful and had all the special touches in place, from Welsh cakes, biscuits, teas and coffees in our room to a delicious dinner in the bar. Not to be forgotten was a very tasty full breakfast. I highly recommend this lovely inn and hope to visit again!
