Castle Cottage has been welcoming guests from far and wide for decades. We strive to improve upon the exceptionally high standards already attained, as proven by the favourable reviews from travellers from all over the world who’ve visited this beautiful inn and being recognised as one of the top 10 best hotels and inns in Wales by newspaper of the year “The Guardian”.

We are an old inn with buildings dating back to 1585 but original architectural features such as wooden beams blend seamlessly with modern renovation and fixtures and fittings.

Castle Cottage Inn offers 5 Star B&B accommodation in Harlech, North Wales with 7 guest rooms each named after a nearby Castle. We are delighted to offer our guests inviting high quality linens, comfortable beds, a full selection of toiletries, amenities and complementary tea, coffee & biscuits in all rooms. A very large room with a beautiful ceiling of beams with a comfortable 2 seater sofa . This room offers a beautiful view of the Castle and Cardigan Bay in the distance and a panoramic view of the Snowdonia mountains from the living area.
A spacious en-suite with a corner bath and separate ‘two person’ sized enclosed shower. This room is recommended for special occasions.

JUNIOR SUITE

(32 sqmt., Ground floor front of annex)

Lobby with built-in wardrobe, very large bedroom with a comfortable two seater sofa. View of the Castle and sea in the distance.
Large en-suite has bath with separate ‘wet area’ shower – glass block wall with no shower tray to step up onto and no screen – useful if you are not fully mobile. Suitable for elderly or a family with young children.
Maximum 3 persons (2 adults plus 1 young children) in our Junior Suite**
**An additional charge of £40 extra per night inclusive of breakfast for the additional child and / or setting up of the folding bed will be added.**

A lobby area with a built-in wardrobe – be advised of a low door into the lobby area!
This is a good sized room with a high ceiling and a wealth of beams.
An en-suite ‘two person’ sized enclosed shower with a high ceiling and original 430 year-old oak cladding on the wall in the apex.
Maximum 2 persons in our standard room.

ROOM 7 ‘Harlech’
SUITE

With a generous lobby for coats and luggage, this room comprises a very large bedroom with a high ceiling and wealth of beams – one is low-ish! A comfortable three seater sofa, this room offers views of the Castle and Cardigan Bay in the distance.
A large high ceiling en-suite that has a bath and a separate ‘2 person’ sized enclosed shower.
Recommended for honeymooners.
Maximum 2 persons in our Suite.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Check-in: 2 pm. Early check-in is subject to availability. Check-out: 10:30 am. Late check-out cannot be accommodated due to time constraints for room cleaning.

2. Breakfast, included in the room price, is served between 8-9 am.

3. Our rooms feature super king-size beds unless twin beds are specifically requested. Please note that we are unable to change from double to twin upon arrival.

4. Complimentary full toiletries, room amenities, free WiFi, and daily housekeeping services are provided.

5. A deposit equivalent to one night’s stay per room is required to secure your reservation. Full refunds are permitted up to 14 days before the reservation date, after which the deposit becomes non-refundable. Changes to the reservation date are subject to availability, and any price difference will be applied. This policy is applicable only when booking directly through Castle Cottage Inn.

6.Resident dinners are available every night during your stay. Full dining service at Pattra’s restaurant operates on Fridays and Saturdays; advance booking is essential. A simplified resident menu is offered at the Aviation bar from Sunday to Thursday, between 6-7 pm. Pre-ordering by 5 pm on the dining day is necessary for timely preparation.
Please be informed that the dinner options in Harlech are fairly limited.

7.The resident pantry and bar are accessible at all times and can be utilised as a residents’ lounge. Kindly note that the bar will be serving daily from 6 pm onwards, or upon request.

8. The three private parking spaces available are on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not possible. Free street parking in Harlech is accessible between 6 pm and 10 am. In addition, two paid parking options are available nearby within a short walk.

9. Please note that there is no on-site electric car charger. The nearest charger can be found at Harlech Castle car park, which is only a few minutes away on foot.

10. Bicycle parking is available in our secure uncovered back garden, with no parking permitted in the rooms.

11. Harlech Train Station is located on the lower street. For convenience, you may pre-book a local taxi to transfer to our establishment. Alternatively, the premises can be reached on foot if you so choose. However, please kindly note that we are positioned off the steepest street in the UK. Walking from the train station is indeed feasible, but it may pose a challenge.

12. Pets are not allowed on the premises.

13. Castle Cottage Inn is a non-smoking establishment.

Breakfast Menu

Breakfast is served between 8-9am in the restaurant, there is no need to book a time.
There is a help yourself buffet table for juice, cereals, yogurts etc.
Please choose from the breakfast menu for the cooked to order items.
